Treasurer's Report for Financial Year 2005
Prepared by Marta L. Wayne, Treasurer
Society's total assets as of 22 May 2006:

The journal is our major source of revenue. The journal did even better in 2005 than 2004, but as open access policies continue to evolve and memberships continue to decline, we may begin to see a decrease in profits in subsequent years. This year happily saw an increase of $41,123 over the adjusted income from last year.
We used our income to publish the journal, to provide seed money for annual meetings, to fund the Fitch prize and travel for contestants at an increased level, to introduce travel awards for undergraduates and additional graduate students, and to fund Council travel.
